OVERVIEW
This course deals with the safety aspects of working with abrasive wheels and conforms to the requirements of The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and HSG17. It allows staff to use abrasive wheels whilst in your employment.

- Typical machines
- Wheel types, characteristics and marking systems
- Wheel inspections, handling and storage
- Wheel mounting procedures
- PPE
- Practical session, including safe use of portable machines, safe disc change procedure, mounting of bench grinder wheels and dressing procedures with the Huntingdon Dresser and diamond tip tool.
There is also an option of our instructor coming to site to deliver training and we can discuss company specific requirements.
