Children in Need donation 2023

Candidates attending the 2391 electrical course at Southampton Engineering Training Association (SETA) were ‘SPOTacular’ on Children in Need day raising funds for BBC Children in Need.

Throughout their week at SETA, not only were the course students studying both the theory and practical sessions for their C&G 2391-52 Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations qualification, they also found time to donate to the worthy cause. Students finished the week knowing that they have covered single and three-phased electrical installations to the current requirements of BS7671 and the inspection and testing techniques as given in the IET Guidance Note 3. Their feel good factor was enhanced by their generous donations.

John Claxton, Commercial Electrical Instructor said, “We wanted to do something that would benefit others during the week, and with all donations going to charities that help the lives of disadvantaged children and young people around the UK, it is such a worthwhile cause.”

John added, “The BBC Children in Need vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their potential. Why would you not want to donate?!”

BBC Children in Need has been helping children and young people in every corner of the UK be the best they can be for more than half a century. The money raised will be used to help change the lives of children and young people facing disadvantage in communities across the UK.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to SETA’s donation!
